DESCRIPTION Diego is a part of our sustainably-repurposed materials collection. Creatively transformed into sleek, monochromatic seating, the chair’s seat and back are constructed from recovered oil drums, finished and shaped by Indonesian artisans who embrace local, minimally-impactful manufacturing processes. Oil drum panels are hand cut and shaped to form comfortable curves, stripped of paint. The frame is hand-bent iron tubing which has been solid welded. The chair surfaces retain some original texture and detailing from the material’s past life as an oil drum. Each chair is artistically unique.
