    Product Care

    As wood adapts to its environment, its characteristics may change.  FTSNY continues to work with our crafts people to advance our designs and manufacturing processes to help minimize these naturally occurring changes. Exposure to extreme temperature shifts are the main cause for these changes. These changes can be deformation or discoloration. 

     Our products are finished with Nitrocellulose Clear Lacquer.  For care instructions, please refer to the following link.  

     FTSNY offers custom finishing with low VOC, waterborne formulas.  Custom finishing work is  done in our Brooklyn workshop and may include additional charges.  If your piece was finished in  our NY facility, please refer to the following link for care instructions. 

    REPAIRS

    At From the Source we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our products. If the structural integrity of your piece is compromised by a manufacturer’s defect, FTSNY will gladly repair or replace your merchandise. To place a repair or exchange claim please send your your order number, photos and a brief description to cs@ftsny.com. 

    FTSNY also offers repair, refinishing, and modification services to our products that fall out of our warranty for additional fees. Quotes can be provided by our sales staff.

    Ordering

    Lead times

    For in-stock items, UPS orders have a packing time of 3 to 5 days before shipping, freight items typically ship in 2-3 weeks. Modifications typically require a 3-4 week turnaround. Most in-house (NY) custom projects require a 4-6 week turnaround. Special orders and Custom designs produced at our factory in Java, Indonesia typically require a 12-14 week lead time. 

    Custom orders

    We welcome custom orders, from individual orders to large scale commercial projects. Our in-house design team will work with you to create a quote for your approval. Once approved, custom orders require a non-refundable deposit of 50%. Custom furnishings are not returnable and minimums do apply. 

     

    Wholesale

    From the Source offers wholesale prices to approved retail distributors throughout the US and Canada. Our 35,000 ft warehouse has a full range of indoor and outdoor furnishings; in stock and ready to deliver. You’ll find a balanced mix of one-of-a-kind pieces and goods that can be readily be reordered. Containers arrive every few weeks. We also produce store fixtures, beautifully handcrafted to your specifications.

    Manufacturing

    From the Source has the resources and expertise to offer manufacturing capabilities and assist customers with product development. Our expert craftsmen and staff are dedicated to working with you to implement a solution that meets your needs. We embrace new ideas, and the result is a product range that is continually evolving. Please contact us if you are interested in incorporating sustainably harvested materials into your product line.

    Container purchases

    Our volume pricing options include additional discounts for customers interested in purchasing full containers of furniture. Many of our products are available to ship via container.

    Design Services

     From the Source design services include drawings, carpentry & finishing.

    Our design team is ready to assist you in creating unique furnishings from simple modifications, to custom built designs. Custom designs are sourced and created in a unique collaboration between the client, our in-house design team, carpentry team, and our factory and artisans in Indonesia. The result is truly bespoke design, from individual items to large-scale commercial and hospitality specifications. 

    Rentals

    For events, staging, styling and set design rentals, consider From the Source. Our warehouse is brimful of possibilities. Rentals are 50% of suggested retail price, per week, plus tax. Rentals for less than one week may be arranged and must meet our minimum requirements. Payment is due at the time of rental. The full retail value must be secured by credit but only the actual rental fee and related taxes will be charged at that time. The customer is responsible for all transportation costs. The customer is responsible for any damage; the cost of repair or replacement will be charged to customer’s credit card.

    Delivery

    From The Source offers in-store pick up and delivery. Our furnishings are carefully inspected before leaving our warehouse we request that you do the same upon receipt of your purchase. In the event that damage occurs in transit, or if you discover any defect in manufacturing, FTSNY requests that this be communicated at the time of delivery. Please contact the CSR at 718.729.3026. We also ask that the driver be notified, so that you may avoid future re-delivery charges for service or exchange. For full description of walk-up fees and returns please reference our store policy.

    We want you to enjoy living with your new purchase! Please measure carefully before ordering to ensure that your furnishings will fit in any elevators, stairs and passageways at the delivery location. In the event that an item does not fit and is returned to the store, the customer remains responsible for delivery charges incurred.
